Added to the Latest Batch of Approved On-Device Mobile AI Services

Per cybersecurity compliance regulations and guided by the Interim Measures for the Administration of Generative Artificial Intelligence Services, Galaxy AI is one of seven on-device mobile generative AI services newly added to the official approved list.

The approval paves the way for Samsung smartphones to integrate generative AI features more deeply, with the goal of delivering an overall smarter and more intuitive user experience.

Baidu AI Cloud Provides Technical Support

Sources familiar with the matter revealed that cooperation between Baidu AI Cloud and Samsung began in early 2024, with the two sides establishing a strategic partnership in the AI ecosystem.

Among the collaboration’s key elements, Baidu’s ERNIE large model will provide technical support for Galaxy AI and empower Samsung’s flagship smartphones. The report noted that users may soon experience smarter features such as Circle to Search and Note Assist.
